Our Story

from Mum & Daughter founders Andrea Green & Lizzie Maxwell

For Mum and I, The Painted Table brings together our shared passions — creativity, community, and meaningful connection.” - Lizzie

The Painted Table came from a simple desire: to make creativity available to everyone.

A place where people can stop in, choose a project, and enjoy some time out.

There is a kind of magic in letting the world fade away and disappearing into creativity.

No matter your skill level — just to create is your right as a human being!

As a self employed, resident artist in Tauranga’s Historic Village I have a passion for encouraging creativity.

I deeply value nature, creativity, and the importance of people. He Tangata — it is people.

Through art and community, I’ve come to believe that meaningful spaces can absolutely inspire connection, belonging, and joy.”
— Andrea

IN a world that often feels rushed and disconnected, we believe there is something deeply valuable in sitting side by side, making with your hands, sharing conversation, and simply being present together.
